In a constant quest for innovation and monetization, Snapchat recently announced a new initiative: integration of ads within its most interactive and active chat tab. These ads, referred to as Sponsored Snaps, been the testing phase for a few months and should now be more noticeable by the general public.
An innovative presentation and participatory arrangement
Sponsored Snaps look much different from snap messages and are presented in the same way as actual conversation. After opening the message, clients can answer only through text or go to the link for the necessary details. The content of this ad is as follows All of them are in vertical videos in full screen.
Disney, a privileged partner
Disney is the first partner of this initiative and snapchat has announced it. Consequently, it may not be surprising to find yourself following a link to Agatha All Along or any other Disney product. It also invites any of its users to report their feelings and views regarding these new advertisements.
A new feature: Promoted Places
Besides, the Promoted Snaps, Snapchat has launched the new service called Promoted Places. It makes sponsored places on the Snapchat map, with brands, such as McDonalds and Taco Bell,first.
Snapchat is now available to more than 850 million users, and like any social platform, the network is always searching for new opportunities to generate revenue. Some of the new activities or strategies that have not been responded well by the user still await the outcome while others await the chance to find out whether it will enable the Snapchat company to generate handsome revenue.
