Google helps motorists to have an easier time on the road
Well, it seems that Google has made the decision to make things a little easier on those who drive. Today, people can see SpotHero, which is the service for online parking spaces, on Google Maps and Search.
Certainly through our well-architected system, booking a parking space become a very easy task.
If the parking spot you have solved using either of the two applications, a red button with the inscription, ‘Book Online’ will appear in case the recognized area is bookable through SpotHero. When you press this button Google takes you to the SpotHero site where you may pay for your place through a secure socket. This is done through Maps or Search, without switching between the chosen app and a browser presence.
But that’s not all. SpotHero also has the feature of parking spaces booking in advance with the date/time filter option. Here you can also search for options like an electric car charging point, wheelchair accessibility, and many more.
Google first announced that it was trialing this SpotHero integration in April and is now opening the beta up to everyone today. Nevertheless, it remains unnoticed that you may not find this feature in your region until when the expansion is still in the process. Currently, SpotHero bookings offer access to 8 000 of seats in 300 cities in the USA and Canada only. Some of the most popular locations that it is possible to employ SpotHero for parking include Madison Square Garden and SAP Center.
Thus far, SpotHero is working its way to claim its place on the mainstream platforms.
As reported by TechCrunch, it becomes clear that the SpotHero app has nestled itself onto the most popular platforms. For example, SpotHero has been available in Lyft app since 2022.
